Mitchell "Mitch" White III

Our Fundraising Efforts In 2026 Honor Your Legacy

November 20, 1974 – September 30, 2014

Mitchell White III dedicated 15 years of service to Amtrak, where he worked with pride, integrity, and a deep commitment to providing for his family. He was a devoted father to Qua’Sean White and Le’nauja Johnson, and his greatest joy was being present — whether taking his son and nephews to football practice, cheering from the sidelines at games, or bringing loved ones together for cookouts and celebrations.

A die-hard Washington Redskins fan, Mitchell lived life with passion and loyalty to his team, his family, and his community. He believed in showing up, standing strong, and going above and beyond for others. His kindness, generosity, and unforgettable smile left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Mitchell and his beloved partner began their journey together in 2010 and were preparing to marry on May 5, 2015 — a testament to the love and future they were building.

He lived life fully, led by example, and embodied what it means to be a true man of character. His absence is deeply felt, but his legacy continues to inspire.

The Mitchell White III Scholarship Fund honors his life, his service, and his unwavering dedication to family, community, and excellence.

Until we meet again, we shall forever call your name.
